DAILY CUTTING PRO

Pierce, bridge or start from the edge?

A 12 kW fiber laser on 16 mm carbon steel. Parts sit edge to edge, so one cut parts two neighbours and leaves T-junctions that cannot be chained. Each new cut can lift, travel and pierce, bridge across the scrap with the beam on, or run in from the plate edge. The shortest route by distance is rarely the shortest by time, so each has its own board.

Click an edge to cut it, click a hole to cut the hole. If the last cut ended at an end of this edge, the cut continues from there with no pierce; otherwise it starts at the end nearer your click, the way set by Start method below. Right-click or Undo takes back the last action.
