Assembly and part drawings straight from IFC: click, print, batch-export DXF
Skip producing drawings one by one in detailing software: select a member in the 3D view for an A3 assembly drawing, select a part for a dimensioned part drawing, and batch-export DXF and NC1. Steps, what is on the sheet, and when a drawing is refused.
Assembly drawings and part drawings are Ultra features, generated directly from the model with no round trip to detailing software. They need the model to still have its source IFC file; older models that only kept the converted 3D data cannot produce drawings.
One assembly drawing
Select the member
Click a member in the 3D view. Clicking a part works too; it resolves to the assembly the part belongs to.
Click Assembly drawing in the info panel
An A3 landscape sheet is generated within a few seconds.
Check the sheet and fill in the title block
The title block fields are editable, and your changes are saved in this browser.
Print or download
Print to PDF from the browser (paper size A3, landscape), or download the DXF file.
What is on the sheet
- Main view and sections: a beam gets an end section A-A plus a plan view B-B from above; a column gets one section per connection level plus a side view.
- Cutting symbols on the main view show where each section is taken and which way you look.
- Dimension chains, hole-group dimensions and part marks; hidden edges are dashed.
- Bill of materials: parts, counts and weight by gross weight (nominal section times length).
- Title block; columns also show their base elevation.
DXF layers are organised into parts, bolts, dimensions, marks and sheet frame, so the file can be edited in CAD as is.
When a drawing is refused
If the geometry of any part cannot be read in full, the whole sheet is refused and the part mark is named, rather than drawing a sheet with a plate missing. An assembly too large to fit on A3 is refused as well.
Batch export
On the model page, click Batch export assembly drawings. You get one DXF per assembly mark, zipped. Refused assemblies are never skipped silently; they are listed in the zip in a file called 未出图清单.txt.
Part drawings
Select a part and click Part drawing for the unfolded outline, thickness or section, and automatically dimensioned hole diameters and edge distances; very long parts are drawn with a break. Anything not dimensioned can be measured by picking two points on the drawing, and the measurement stays for whoever opens the drawing next. On the model page, Batch export part drawings produces one DXF and one NC1 per part mark.
What visitors of a share link can open
Whether someone using a share link can open part drawings is decided by the model owner's plan, not the visitor's.
