Crane thruster pack: ignite, take off, flip in mid-air
Fit your mobile or crawler crane with a thruster pack: ignite to fly and flip in mid-air with one key. How to get it, fly it, flip it and land it.
The shop now sells a thruster pack: it mounts under the crane chassis, lets the crane lift off when ignited, and can flip in mid-air. It is a one-time purchase and works on every truck, all-terrain, loader and crawler crane you own; tower cranes, aerial platforms, forklifts and drones cannot mount it.
Where to get it
- Shop sidebar → Mods → Thruster pack. Pay directly, exchange coins or mechanical fragments, or send it to a friend as a gift.
- Truck, crawler and loader crane shelves also link to it.
Ignition
- Before take-off: nothing on the hook, outriggers fully retracted, crane not tipped over.
- Press Ignite in the crane panel, or J while driving. The four nozzles under the chassis light up and the crane hovers.
- Press J again to cut the engine: thrust drops to zero and the crane falls.
In the air
- Space: climb; C: descend; neither: hold altitude.
- W / S: nose down / up; A / D: roll left / right; ← / →: turn in place.
- Release the keys while tilted less than 45° and the crane levels itself; past 45° it stays where it is — upside down, thrust pushes you down.
- Ceiling: 120 m above the take-off point. You cannot leave the crane in the air, and the boom and outriggers are locked.
Flips
- Press G (or Flip in the panel) in the air for a full flip: G alone rolls sideways; hold W for a front flip, S for a back flip, A / D to roll left / right. Each flip is: a hard push upward → cut thrust and rotate → catch with thrust and level out.
- Press G on the ground: the crane hops off with its current speed, flips once, fires a retro-burn about 3 m above the ground and lands on its wheels.
- Starting too low or while already falling may touch down mid-flip — that counts as tipping over.
Landing
- Touching down roughly level (within 30° of upright) is a clean landing and the position is saved.
- A crooked landing is a tip-over; call a rescue to right the crane, as with any tip-over (a few free rescues every day).
- Everyone in the same model sees the flight live; if you disconnect in the air, everyone sees the crane back where it took off.
