焊接球网架上弦球的顶部直接焊一根檩托：钢管下端对准球顶，现场定位焊后再正式焊牢，管顶是承托檩条的托板。

焊接球上没有螺孔，檩托靠现场焊接固定：先复核网架坡度、放线，按檩托编号在球顶点焊定位，最后才正式施焊。
正式焊接前要复核檩托坐标和坡度方向，避免焊后无法纠正。
檩托的焊缝从中部向两边对称施焊，尽量减小焊接变形；焊完及时补涂油漆。
屋面坡度应由网架结构设计来形成，不宜靠加高支托来找坡；坡度较小时才可适当用支托调整。
